For several years, the STM had started discussions with Lyon freight forwarders, under the aegis of TLF Overseas, to extend its scope of representation.
This approach has taken on its full meaning with the work of the Interport and Logistics Coordination Council (CCIL) of the Mediterranean Rhône Saône axis (MeRS).

Gathered in an extraordinary general meeting on July 5, STM members adopted a new name for the union, which becomes the “Syndicat des Transitaires Méditerranée Rhône Alpes (STM)”.
This new entity will integrate freight forwarders from the Auvergne Rhône Alpes and Burgundy regions, as well as freight forwarders from the Mediterranean coast of the Occitanie region.

This extraordinary general meeting was also an opportunity for STM members to warmly thank Stéphane Boumendil for his remarkable work serving STM for seven years.
